Slotted countersunk head screw made of polyamide (PA) with metric thread M6 - for corrosion-free fixation.
Screws, nuts and other accessories are used in fresh and sea water. Polyamide is not corroding and do not release substances into the aquarium water - therefore you may use it under water, too. Only ozone reduces the life time of polyamide.
Parts made of polyamide 6.6 ("nylon") compared to metallic materials are very soft and you must tighten them very carefully. Fix the part (screw, nut) hand-screwed and use a wrench only with low forces.
