POC-Filter

POC-Filter

N-P pellet filters can safely and permanently reduce excessive nitrate and phosphate concentrations.

The special filter material - POC+Globuli - is slowly eaten by bacteria. These filter bacteria take nitrate and phosphate from the seawater. To prevent the growing bacteria from clogging the material, the filter should always be operated in the fluidized bed process or in the vertical flow filter. Both options are possible with the AquaCare Pellet Filter.

If the produced bacteria should be released as bacterioplankton into the aquarium water, the outlet of the filter should flow directly into the aquarium water or in front of the return pump. If the bacteria should not enter the aquarium, the outlet of the filter can be led directly in front of the skimmer inlet.

Spare parts for your pellet filter can be found under the tab "Spare parts" in the respective product.
