The NF70 is filled with a pure calcium carbonate granulate and raises the pH value of the passing water. It can be used:

to neutralize the slightly acidic water behind ADN filters (sulphur nitrate filters)
for the neutralization of conventional lime reactors
for the mineralization of reverse osmosis water for highly populated sof water aquaria (Amazon type)

This simple filter can be equipped with different sieves and connections. Additional valves (drain, vent) as well as an electrode connection (also retrofitted) can also be added.

The slightly acidic water runs through the filter. The carbonic acid contained in the water reacts with the lime granulate. The pH increases and the water is enriched with calcium (GH) and carbonate hardness (KH, alkalinity, hydrogen carbonate).

The filter material must be changed when the neutralising effect (especially with sulphur nitrate filters ADN) diminishes. Therefore regularly measure the pH value of the leaking water.
