Zeolite Filter

This filter can be used to perform the zeolite process. The filter is filled with a zeolite material that retains certain substances on the surface by ion exchange and adsorption. Bacteria settling on the surface partially eat these substances. So that the bacteria layer does not become too thick, the filter bed should be rinsed once a day for a short time. AquaCare uses the air flushing method for small filters and the combination of water and air flushing for larger filters. The released bacteria are available in the aquarium as bacterioplankton or can be removed from the system by the skimmer.
