Measuring Technique

The larger the aquarium and the more valuable the animals the more important is use of process measuring and conrol technology.

Measuring technique only shows a parameter, e.g. pH value.

A control realizes a process flow, e.g. a timer switches the light on and off. More complex controls has logical moduls, e.g. the lights will start only if the water temperatur is not too high.

A closed-loop control (adjustment control) constist of sensor (e.g. temperature probe), that determines the actual value, an evaluation unit, that compares the actual value with the nominal value, and finally the actuator (e.g. heater) that is affected by the evaluation unit.
