AquaCare Quartz Sand is best for fluidized bed filters. The uniform grain spectrum realizes an even movement of the filter bed.
The AquaCare Quartz Sand has following advantages:
- uniform grain spectrum
- sharp-edged material
- prewashed
Quartz sand should never be used as a ground cover in marine aquariums. If animals swallow quartz sand, they can get problems in the digestive tract. Always use calcareous materials as substrate in seawater (e.g. coral fragments)!
