Basic HangOn 25: Complete filter basin to hang on

If an aquarium without an overflow chamber is to be converted into a seawater system or a single aquarium is to be temporarily separated from a central filter system, e.g. for quarantine purposes, then the BasicHangOn is used. 

This hang-on filter tank is suitable for marine aquariums ( mixed reef aquarium type) up to approx. 400 liters. The HangOn system is hung on the aquarium and brought into a vertical position using the adjustment screws. After venting the transfer chamber, the circulation pump can be put into operation.

The water flows from the aquarium into the 1st chamber, where the return pump is located. It is then optionally pumped into the 2nd chamber through a UV lamp. A sock filter removes coarse dirt from the water. A powerful skimmer is also installed in this chamber. This is designed for approx. 400 liters and is therefore generously dimensioned. There is space for a rod heater and a measuring chain, e.g. pH measurement.

A MediaCup can be installed in the 3rd chamber. Materials such as activated carbon, zeolite or phosphate adsorbers can perform their filtering function in it. The water inlet into the MediaCup is adjusted with a small ball valve.

The water then leaves the Basic HangOn and creates a good surface current in the aquarium.

Additional filters can be attached to the Basic filter basin at any time using the appropriate hang-on holders in order to implement further filter functions.

The Basic filters are manufactured in Germany from high-quality acrylic glass (European production). Our Basic filter tanks made of "unbreakable" polyethylene are available for larger aquariums.
