Solenoids

Solenoids

Gases and liquids can be controlled by solenoid valves. There are directly driven, in-directly driven (servo) and positively actuated solenoid valves.

To find the right solenoid some parameter have to be clarified:

  • operating voltage: direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC), voltage
  • connector size: normally inch connectors, e.g. G1/4" (= 1/4" BSP)
  • orifice size / nominal size: here indicated as DN: so a valve with DN5.5 has an orifice of 5.5 mm diameter - the connector size has nearly nothing to do with the orifice size
  • pressure range:
lower limit: direct driven and positively controlled valves are actuating with 0 bar pressure difference between inlet and outlet, too. Indirect driven (servo) valves need a pressure difference of for example 0.5 bar to close properly.
upper limit: never succeed the upper limit - the valve is not able to close. The maximum limit depends on the used coil (power; AC or DC)
  • material: valve body and sealings must be suitable for the wished medium
  • function: is the valve currentlesss open (NO = normally open) or closed (NC = normally closed); there are 3/2-way valve, too.

If you have not found what you are looking for in our standard valves, please contact us. We offer you a valve that is tailored to your needs.

We can offer the following options:
Type: direct acting, positive acting, pilot operated (servo)
Function: NO (normally open), NC (normally closed)
Voltage: 12, 24, 110, 230 V - DC or AC (50/60 Hz)
Orifice: DN 1.2 to DN 50
Connections: G1/8" to G2"
Material: brass, stainless steel, plastic - Seal: NBR, FKM
Pressure range: up to 16 bar
