High-performance calcium reactor system with CO2 column (CO2 tube) for effective enrichment of carbonic acid; maximum flow velocity in the main reactor tube (calcite tube) to prevent sediment deposition and channel formation; effective neutralization by air introduction; daily running time adjustable from 1 to 100% (depending on the animals' needs). The complete system is installed on a plastic plate with a stable aluminum frame for wall mounting. (Floor installation on request.)

Functional Description |
The inlet water from the aquarium is fed into the system by means of a bypass or an extra pump. The supply is adjustable with an angle seat control valve and is displayed on the flow meter. The system pressure is set on the pressure maintaining valve and is checked on the pressure gauge. A magnetically coupled, robust industrial pump generates the internal circuit flow. The filter bed velocity is adjustable via valves. The CO2 supply is fed into the column and can be read on a flow meter. A fine control valve is used to adjust the flow rate. In the column, the carbon dioxide dissolves particularly well at a system pressure of 1 bar. The now acidified process water passes through the circulation flow into the calcite tube, which contains a highly soluble, very pure sintered calcium carbonate granulate. The acid dissolves the lime material and thus produces dissolved lime: calcium and carbonate hardness (alkalinity). In the neutralization stage, excess CO2 is then removed from the water by means of air. As a final step, the now less acidic water runs into the sediment chamber, where particles are filtered out with a fleece. There, the process water is also diluted with feed water to reduce calcification in particularly long discharge pipes. The entire process is controlled by a PLC and, if necessary, interrupted immediately in the event of malfunctions. |
