Skimmer ACF50.000V with injector, for max. 50 m3 sea water tanks, without pump, best suitable for ozone operation.
These skimmers of the high-end class with the most effective Suspended Flow Principle are characterized by the effect, that the gas bubbles stay a long time in abeyance. With this long contact time between gas bubble and water a high exchange is realised even at small total heights. Carbon dioxid is driven out and oxygen is inserted. The adsorption of proteins is also a time-dependent factor, that is favored by long contact times.
The skimmers with injector are service reduced. The injector gets no chalk crust up to 10°KH.
You may operate this skimmer externally or inside a filter sump.
Advantages compared to other skimmers:
- extreme long contact time; that means:
- high enrichment of oxygen and ozone
- forming of the carbon dioxid - hydrogen carbonate - carbonate - buffer system at low alkalinity
- more even pH value
- short total height
- lowers the numbers of free bacteria to about 20%
- reduces the ozone demand by 70%
- low ammonia / ammonium, nitrite, nitrate and phosphate concentrations

- degasing stage for extrem sensitive animals (e.g. jellyfish or larvae), if the water flows directly back into the aquarium
| Functional Description |
The water that is mixed with air bubbles flows into the lowest point of the unit. At this point the pressure of the system is maximal: the gas interchange is consequently at this point the best. The water-air mixture is ascending in the centre tube. At the top the protein containing foam is forming. A part of the gas bubbles are flowing downwards inside the main tube. At the release cone the water velocity declines because of the larger diameter of the tube - the water is flowing out of the system. The gas bubbles are kept in the main tube and they are not able to flow deeper. They will adsorb more organic substances because they stay very long inside the skimmer. At random the bubbles reach the top and create the protein foam. The foam ascend the foam cone, will be drained and flows into the foam cup. With this system even very badly adsorbing proteins will get out of the water. |

Maximum aquarium size*: 50 m3 * The maximum aquarium volume is calculated for „normal" tanks with living rocks and some fishes. If you have more fish and/or you take much food, you have to choose the next size. The ozone input can vary depending on the number of fish. The needed size depends on many factors: e.g. the wished water quality, fish load, food input, temperature, the kept species, additional technique like bio-filter, UV, ozon. The exact needed size may vary from our recommendation. In complicated cases ask AquaCare please. |
