Sterile filter for air supply of plankton cultures - a contamination with foreign organisms is nearly impossible.

The sterile filter is connected between air pump and the divider to the plankton tube / reactors. The life time of this filter is enlarged by using a 10" filter with 5 µm sediment cartridge before.

Suitable adapter for air compressor Medo 1.6 (1600 litres air per hour) to 6 mm push fit fitting. The kit consists of vibration reducing silicone hose, a push fit fitting for PE hose and two cable ties for mounting.

Reduces the noise generated by injectors, dispergators and vent pipes. Part of the dust is also filtered out. We recommend the connection by means of a silicone hose.  This silencer is available with different outside diameters - others are available on request. You must therefore know the inner diameter of your hose.

The silencer should be installed so high that no water can get into the filter.

* To calculate the appropriate compressor, the water depth at which the diffuser is to be located must be added to the desired operating pressure: an additional 100 mbar is required per 1 meter of water depth. 

Regularly check the air filter of the compressor to prevent blockages in the air diffuser. 

If the diffuser is operated with a flexible hose, fill coarse gravel into the diffuser before installing the air connection to prevent the diffuser from floating.
