This lid is especially designed for zooplankton breeding, but can also be used for the cultivation of phytoplankton. Compared to the standard lid of the MF2 series, this cap has a central hole to accommodate an stirrer scraper and an additional connection for the air supply. Do not forget to order the appropriate paddle scraper.

Paddle scraper made of special steel for MF₂ filter for removing the detritus from the bottom cone. If you use the paddle scraper manually all loose deposits are moved to the centre of the bottom cone. There you can suck them away with the extraction hose. Do this procedure once a day to keep the cultur solution hygenically proper.

The red screen is screwed to the lid instead of the other screen - please use the short screw supplied. Remove any filter elements or tubes from the main tube and push the retention element with the cone (tip) down into the main tube. Fill the upper part of the filter with PE trickle filter material. The following quantities are required:
- MF2-50-40: 0.4 liters
- MF2-50-70: 0.8 liters
- MF2-50-100: 1.2 liters
