The AquaCare Plankton Tube can be used for growing phytoplankton (in combination with a light source, preferably T5 fluorescent lamp or LEDs) as well as for zooplankton. This small system is ideal for maintenance cultures. The system can be chemically disinfected (e. g. with chlorine dioxide).
The plankton tube consists of the MF2 multi-function filter with the appropriate connections for air supply, an algae or sludge drain valve, internal silicone hose and a paddle scraper for removing deposits in the zooplankton reactor. The plankton tube can either be placed on a flat surface or attached to a wall with a clip (option).
An electrode holder cannot be installed for this model - choose a larger diameter plankton reactor. Alternatively, we can offer a gas-tight lid without a hole for the stirring scraper for pure algae cultivation, but with a measuring chain connection. Please ask for it.

This filter does not belong in the hands of small children - danger of swallowing small parts!
